One of the critical component in a Thermal power plant, which convert energy stored in coal into electricity is a Coal Pulverize. The basic function of a Pulveriser in a Thermal Power plant is to break down and crush the coal lumps into fine particle form before it is taken to the boiler for burning. Pulverisation of coal basically breaks the big coal lumps and increases the surface area which is important to facilitate efficient burning of coal. If the coal is not pulverised, the coal might not burn completely, thus resulting in wastage of fuel. Also, pulverization of coal helps the boiler to respond to load variations more promptly.

Pulveriser is a mechanical device for grinding coal used for combustion in Steam generating furnace / Boilers. Pulverisers are one of the most important components of all sub and super critical power plant.
